Early 7:30 AM departure to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding — arrive before crowds for the pandas' most active feeding time. See adult pandas, playful cubs, and red pandas in bamboo groves. Afternoon: People's Park — join locals dancing, singing, and matchmaking at the famous 'marriage market'. Evening: Sichuan hot pot dinner followed by face-changing opera at Shufeng Yayun teahouse.
D2Leshan Giant Buddha & Jinli Old Street▾
Morning: day trip to Leshan Giant Buddha — the world's largest stone Buddha at 71 meters, carved into a cliff overlooking the confluence of three rivers. Boat view for full perspective, then climb the narrow cliff path. Afternoon: return to Chengdu, visit Jinli Ancient Street with traditional Sichuan snacks and crafts. Evening: Kuanzhai Alley (Wide & Narrow Alleys) for craft beer and courtyard dining.
