Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Haikou
Arrive at Haikou Meilan Airport. Transfer to hotel. Afternoon visit to Qilou Old Street — a 700m arcade-lined commercial street from the 1920s blending Chinese and European architecture. Evening: sample Hainanese chicken rice and Wenchang chicken. Overnight in Haikou.
Day 2: Haikou — Volcanic Park & Heritage
Morning at Haikou Volcanic Cluster Geopark — climb the dormant crater, explore lava caves, and enjoy panoramic views. Visit Hainan Provincial Museum for island history. Afternoon at Holiday Beach. Evening seafood feast. Overnight in Haikou.
Day 3: Haikou to Bo'ao & Wanning
Drive 1.5h to Bo'ao — visit the Bo'ao Forum for Asia permanent site and Yudai Beach (Jade Belt Beach), the narrowest sand peninsula separating river and sea. Continue to Wanning (1h) — explore Shimei Bay and Riyue Bay, Hainan's surfing mecca. Overnight in Wanning.
Day 4: Wanning to Sanya — Nanwan Monkey Island
Morning drive to Lingshui (1.5h). Ride the scenic cable car to Nanwan Monkey Island — home to over 2,500 wild macaques roaming freely. Watch monkey acrobatics and feeding shows. Continue to Sanya (1h). Check into beach resort. Sunset at Sanya Bay. Overnight in Sanya.
Day 5: Nanshan Temple & Tianya Haijiao
Morning at Nanshan Buddhist Cultural Park — the magnificent 108m Guanyin statue, golden temple halls, and vegetarian lunch. Afternoon at Tianya Haijiao — the iconic 'End of the Earth' coastline. Overnight in Sanya.
Day 6: Yanoda Rainforest Full Day
Full day adventure at Yanoda Rainforest — suspension bridges, waterfalls, Dream Valley, and Rainforest Valley. Optional zip-lining, via ferrata, and rainforest restaurant lunch. Overnight in Sanya.
Day 7: Binglang Valley & Sanya Beach Day
