Evening: Impression Liu Sanjie light show on the Li River, directed by Zhang Yimou.

Full day trip to Longji Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces — one of China's most stunning agricultural wonders. Hike between Zhuang and Yao minority villages, learn about 650-year-old terrace farming techniques. Women from the Red Yao tribe with their famously long hair perform traditional songs. Scenic lunch at a mountainside restaurant.

Morning: Reed Flute Cave — 180 million-year-old limestone cavern lit with colorful lights, known as 'Nature's Art Palace'. Visit Elephant Trunk Hill, Guilin's iconic symbol at the confluence of the Li and Taohua rivers. Afternoon: free time or transfer.
