Arrive in Huangshan City. Explore Tunxi Ancient Street — a 900-year-old Song Dynasty commercial street lined with Huizhou-style whitewashed buildings. Visit a tea house for the famous Huangshan Maofeng green tea ceremony. Ink stick and inkstone workshops — traditional Huizhou crafts. Evening: Hui cuisine dinner — the 'stinky mandarin fish' and braised pork belly with bamboo shoots.
D2Yellow Mountain Summit Sunrise▾
Cable car up the eastern steps. Hike to Bright Summit Peak (1,860m). Check the sunrise time — wake at 4 AM for the 30-minute pre-dawn hike. Watch the sun rise over a sea of clouds with granite peaks emerging like islands. Then: West Sea Grand Canyon — a 2-hour circuit through cloud-wreathed pillars. Lotus Peak, Flying Over Rock, and the iconic Greeting Pine tree. Overnight at Beihai Hotel on the summit.
D3Hongcun & Xidi Ancient Villages▾
Descend from the mountain. Visit Hongcun — the 900-year-old water village that inspired scenes in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Perfect crescent-moon lake reflections of white-walled Huizhou mansions. Afternoon: Xidi village — 124 Ming/Qing Dynasty residences with exquisite wood and stone carvings. Return to Huangshan City for afternoon departure.
