Day-by-Day Itinerary
Arrive at Sanya Phoenix International Airport. Warm tropical welcome from your guide. Transfer to your beach resort. Afternoon: orientation walk — dip your toes in the South China Sea, lounge by the pool, and start unwinding. Evening: first taste of Hainanese cuisine — Wenchang chicken, Dongshan lamb, and fresh seafood at a beachside restaurant. Overnight in Sanya.
Morning: visit Nanshan Buddhist Cultural Park — home to the awe-inspiring 108-meter Guanyin statue standing on a platform in the sea (higher than the Statue of Liberty). Walk through the temple complex, visit the golden Guanyin hall, and feel the profound serenity of this sacred site. Afternoon: Tianya Haijiao ("Edge of the Sky, End of the Sea") — a scenic coastal park with dramatic granite boulders and poetic inscriptions, traditionally considered the southernmost point of China. Overnight in Sanya.
A day for pure relaxation. Your resort's private beach, pool, spa — whatever you choose. Optional: water sports (jet skiing, parasailing, snorkeling), a round of golf (several world-class courses nearby), or a visit to Wuzhizhou Island for pristine snorkeling and diving. Your guide is available for any arrangements. Overnight in Sanya.
Morning: drive to Binglang Valley — an immersive Li and Miao ethnic cultural park in a lush tropical rainforest setting. Watch traditional Li weaving (the Li people have a textile tradition recognized by UNESCO), see the incredible face tattoos of elderly Li women (the last generation bearing this 3,000-year-old tradition), watch Miao knife-ladder climbing, and taste local specialties. Afternoon: Luhuitou Park (Deer Turning Head) — a hilltop park with panoramic views over Sanya city, both bays, and out to sea. The legend: a hunter pursued a deer to this cliff; the deer turned its head, transformed into a beautiful maiden, and they married — giving Sanya one of its nicknames: "Deer City." Overnight in Sanya.
Final morning: walk the beach one last time, take a last swim, shop for Hainanese specialties — coconut candy, tropical fruit, pearl jewelry, Li textiles. Transfer to Sanya Phoenix Airport. Arrivederci, tropical paradise.
