Day 1: Chengdu Panda Base & Old Chengdu
Morning pickup from your hotel. First stop: Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding (8am arrival — best time to see pandas active and eating). Walk through bamboo groves to see giant pandas, red pandas, and cubs in the nursery. Around noon, head to Jinli Ancient Street — a lively pedestrian lane with traditional Sichuan snacks, teahouses, and handicraft shops. After lunch, visit Wenshu Monastery, a serene 1,300-year-old Buddhist temple. Sip tea at the monastery's famous tea garden — a favorite local pastime. Transfer back to your hotel by late afternoon.
