Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Train to Shenzhen, Ping An Centre & Lianhua Mountain
Your guide picks you up from your Guangzhou hotel. Board the high-speed train at Guangzhou South Station — 30 minutes later, you're in the heart of Shenzhen. First stop: Ping An Finance Centre — ascend to the 115th floor for breathtaking 360-degree views from China's 2nd tallest building. On clear days, you can see Hong Kong's mountains. Then Lianhua Mountain Park — walk to the top (15 minutes) to see Deng Xiaoping's bronze statue overlooking the Futian CBD, the spot where he famously declared Shenzhen's prosperity during his 1992 southern tour.
Day 2: Splendid China & Return
After lunch at a local Cantonese restaurant, explore Splendid China Folk Village — an immersive theme park where 100+ landmark replicas (Forbidden City, Great Wall, Terracotta Warriors, Potala Palace) and ethnic village performances capture all of China's geographic and cultural diversity. Walk through Tibetan, Mongolian, Dai and Miao villages with traditional architecture and costumed performers. Late afternoon: high-speed train back to Guangzhou, arriving by early evening.
