Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival — Splendid China & Innovation Culture
Arrive at Shenzhen (Futian Station or Shenzhen Bay border). Afternoon: Splendid China Folk Village — a 30-hectare theme park where China's greatest landmarks are recreated in miniature: the Great Wall, Forbidden City, Terracotta Warriors, Potala Palace, and more. The adjacent China Folk Culture Village showcases 25 ethnic minority groups with performances, traditional crafts, and authentic village reconstructions. Evening: explore the DJI flagship store — the world's largest drone company headquartered in Shenzhen — and experience drone delivery demonstrations. Walk through Nanshan district's high-tech corridor. Overnight in Shenzhen.
Day 2: Ping An Centre, Lianhua Mountain & Shenzhen Bay
Morning: ascend Ping An Finance Centre — at 599m (115 floors), it's the 4th tallest building in the world. The observation deck offers breathtaking views of Shenzhen's forest of skyscrapers and Hong Kong's mountains across the border. Then Lianhua Mountain — a green oasis in the city center crowned by a bronze statue of Deng Xiaoping, the architect of China's reform era whose 1992 'southern tour' speech launched Shenzhen's transformation. Afternoon: Shenzhen Museum to understand the city's origin story, followed by a leisurely walk along Shenzhen Bay Park — a 15km coastal greenway connecting Shenzhen with views of Hong Kong's New Territories. Transfer to station/border.
