Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival — Splendid China & OCT-LOFT Creative Park
Arrive at Shenzhen. Afternoon: Splendid China Folk Village — see miniature versions of the Great Wall, Forbidden City, and Three Gorges Dam alongside live ethnic performances. Evening: OCT-LOFT Creative Culture Park — a converted 1980s electronics factory transformed into Shenzhen's hippest arts enclave with galleries, design studios, craft breweries, and live music venues. Dinner at one of OCT-LOFT's acclaimed restaurants. Overnight in Shenzhen.
Day 2: Ping An Centre, Huaqiangbei & Shenzhen Bay
Morning: Ping An Finance Centre observation deck — 360-degree views at 541m. Walk the Futian CBD to admire Shenzhen's hyper-modern urban planning. Then Huaqiangbei — the world's largest electronics market with thousands of stalls selling everything from microchips to drones. Even if you don't buy, the sensory overload is worth experiencing. Day 3: Dapeng Fortress & Departure
Morning: drive 1h to Dapeng Fortress — a remarkably preserved 600-year-old Ming Dynasty coastal walled city. Walk the 1.2km city walls, explore Qing Dynasty general's mansions, and visit the small museums showcasing the area's role in the Opium Wars. Lunch at a local seafood restaurant near the ancient city. Afternoon: enjoy the beaches near Dapeng (Dameisha or Xiaomeisha) before returning to central Shenzhen for departure.
