Arrive at Shenzhen. Afternoon: Splendid China Folk Village — see miniature versions of the Great Wall, Forbidden City, and Three Gorges Dam alongside live ethnic performances. Dinner at one of OCT-LOFT's acclaimed restaurants. Overnight in Shenzhen.

Day 2: Ping An Centre, Huaqiangbei & Shenzhen Bay

Morning: Ping An Finance Centre observation deck — 360-degree views at 541m. Walk the Futian CBD to admire Shenzhen's hyper-modern urban planning. Then Huaqiangbei — the world's largest electronics market with thousands of stalls selling everything from microchips to drones. Even if you don't buy, the sensory overload is worth experiencing. Afternoon: Shenzhen Museum, followed by a walk or bike ride along Shenzhen Bay Park as the sun sets behind Hong Kong's mountains. Overnight in Shenzhen.

Day 3: Dapeng Fortress & Departure

Morning: drive 1h to Dapeng Fortress — a remarkably preserved 600-year-old Ming Dynasty coastal walled city. Walk the 1.2km city walls, explore Qing Dynasty general's mansions, and visit the small museums showcasing the area's role in the Opium Wars. Lunch at a local seafood restaurant near the ancient city. Afternoon: enjoy the beaches near Dapeng (Dameisha or Xiaomeisha) before returning to central Shenzhen for departure.

Travel Tip: Shenzhen is one of China's greenest cities — over 45% of land is protected as ecological space. The city has excellent metro coverage (16 lines) making independent exploration easy. November-March offers the best weather with clear skies and comfortable temperatures.
