Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Lhasa Arrival
Acclimatization — water, rest, gentle walk on Barkhor.
Day 2: Lhasa
Potala Palace & Jokhang Temple.
Day 3: Lhasa
Drepung & Sera Monasteries. Trip briefing for Everest journey.
Day 4: Yamdrok Lake
Kamba La Pass, Yamdrok Lake, Karola Glacier, Gyantse.
Day 5: Shigatse
Gyantse Kumbum. Tashilhunpo Monastery in Shigatse.
Day 6: To Everest
Drive across Gyatso La Pass (5,248m). First views of Everest! Arrive Rongbuk Monastery. Sunset over Everest's north face.
Day 7: Everest Base Camp
Visit EBC (5,200m) — stand at the foot of Mt. Everest. Hike to the climbers' memorial. Overnight at Rongbuk guesthouse for sunrise views.
Day 8: Return to Shigatse
Everest sunrise. Drive back via Sakya Monastery — seat of the Sakya school of Tibetan Buddhism.
Day 9: To Lhasa
Shigatse to Lhasa. Hot spring visit on the way. Farewell Tibetan banquet.
Day 10: Departure
Lhasa airport/train transfer.
