Start at Temple of Heaven — where emperors prayed for good harvests, iconic circular architecture. Continue to Summer Palace — imperial garden with Kunming Lake, Long Corridor, and Marble Boat. Continue to Hutong — traditional Beijing alleyways with courtyard homes, rickshaw tours available. Finish at Lama Temple — Tibetan Buddhist temple with 18m tall Maitreya Buddha carved from sandalwood. Meals: Breakfast at hotel, lunch at local restaurant.
