The ultimate Yangtze River odyssey — 11 days from Chongqing to Shanghai aboard the magnificent Century Legend (5-star). Sail through all three gorges, pass the Three Gorges Dam's five-level ship lock, and explore five provinces. From Fengdu Ghost City and Jingzhou's ancient tombs to Lu Mountain, Nanjing's Buddhist sanctuaries, and Shanghai's cosmopolitan skyline — this is the Yangtze at its most complete.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1 Chongqing Boarding

Board the 5-star Century Legend at Chaotianmen Pier. Welcome seafood buffet dinner. Safety briefing and Captain's welcome party. Set sail around 9:30 PM.

Day 2 Fengdu Ghost City

Shore excursion to Fengdu Ghost City — actors reenact the afterlife. Afternoon: visit the captain's bridge and attend a Three Gorges lecture. Optional evening show 'Beacon Fire of Three Kingdoms.'

Day 3 Three Gorges: Qutang & Wu Gorges

Optional morning visit to White Emperor City or Summit of Three Gorges. Sail through Qutang Gorge (8km, narrowest point 100m) and Wu Gorge (30-mile 'corridor of landscape paintings'). ★ Highlight: around 8 PM, your ship passes through the Three Gorges Dam 5-level ship lock — like a giant 'water staircase,' 113m total lift, 3-4 hours.

Day 4 Three Gorges Dam & Xiling Gorge

Visit the Three Gorges Dam Memorial Park and Museum — see the real construction machinery and learn the stories of 1.3 million relocated residents. Pass through Gezhouba Dam. Sail Xiling Gorge (76km). Crew talent show in the evening.

Day 5 Jingzhou

Choose: Xiongjiazhong National Archaeological Park (2,200-year-old Chu Kingdom tombs with real warhorse skeletons) OR Jingzhou Museum & Ancient City Wall (2,100-year-old male mummy, King of Yue bronze sword). Evening cinema on board.

Day 6 Wuhan

Visit Yellow Crane Tower — 5-story golden-glazed pagoda. Tour Hubei Provincial Museum: Marquis Yi of Zeng's Bianzhong bells, Sword of Goujian (2,500-year-old, still razor-sharp), Yuan Dynasty blue-and-white porcelain. Evening: classical music line dance party.

Day 7 Jiujiang — Lu Mountain or Jingdezhen

Option 1: Lu Mountain — cable car to summit, Flower Path Park, Brocade Valley (mist-shrouded cliffs), and Meilu Villa. Option 2: Jingdezhen Porcelain Tour — Ancient Kiln Folk Customs Museum and giant porcelain market. Evening: masked ball with live music.

Day 8 Chizhou — Jiuhua Mountain

Full day at Jiuhua Mountain, one of China's four sacred Buddhist mountains. Visit Huacheng Temple, cable car to Baisui Palace (preserved body of a 124-year-old monk), and 500 Arhats Hall. Evening: onboard karaoke.

Day 9 Nanjing

Visit Niushoushan Cultural Park — the Usnisa Palace built over an abandoned mine with rotating white jade reclining Buddha and 1,343 golden Buddha statues. Climb the 88m Fogding Pagoda with panoramic mountain views.

Day 10 Yangzhou

★ Yangzhou morning tea experience: three-diced buns, crab roe soup dumplings, and shredded dried tofu. Stroll Slender West Lake — willow-lined banks and the iconic Five Pavilion Bridge. Evening: farewell party and photo sharing salon.

Day 11 Shanghai Disembarkation

Arrive at Shanghai Port International Cruise Terminal. Shuttle transfer to airport or train station. Optional: extend with Shanghai city tour — the Bund, Yu Garden, and Pudong skyline.
