About the Show
Impression Liu Sanjie is the world's largest outdoor natural theatre, set on a 2-kilometer stretch of the Li River with 12 karst peaks as the backdrop. Directed by Zhang Yimou (Beijing 2008 Olympics).
Over 600 performers — most local fishermen, farmers, and villagers from Zhuang minority communities — create an awe-inspiring spectacle on the water with torches, bamboo rafts, and hypnotic synchronization. The show is based on the legend of Liu Sanjie, a Zhuang folk singer whose beautiful voice captivated all who heard it.
