About the Show
Tang Dynasty Music & Dance Show recreates the imperial entertainment of China's most cosmopolitan era — when Xi'an (then Chang'an) was the world's largest city. The Tang Dynasty (618–907 AD) was a golden age of poetry, music, and Silk Road cultural exchange.
Dancers in flowing silk robes perform pieces like "Rainbow Skirt and Feathered Coat Dance" with elegant precision. The orchestra uses faithful reproductions of Tang-era instruments — pipa, guzheng, bells, and drums. Each piece tells a story from China's golden age.
