Arrive in Harbin. Afternoon: Ice & Snow World — the world's largest ice sculpture festival. Walk through a frozen city of illuminated ice castles, slides, and sculptures at -20°C. Drink warm Russian-style mulled wine from ice glasses. Evening: St. Sophia Cathedral — a Byzantine-style Russian Orthodox church in Harbin's historic center.
Morning: Heilongjiang Siberian Tiger Park — over 500 Siberian tigers in vast enclosures. Walk the glass tunnels as massive cats prowl overhead. Afternoon: Sun Island Snow Sculpture Expo.
